I've been a loyal customer of Property Tax Lock for the past three years, and this year I had the pleasure of working directly with Chris O'Day and I couldn't be more impressed. Chris went above and beyond to help me get signed up, and what really stood out was his outstanding responsiveness. Every time I reached out via call or text, he responded within 15 minutes, which is rare these days.
Chris is a professional, courteous, and resourceful young man who made the entire process smooth and stress-free. He not only helped me, but also went out of his way to assist my sister with her property tax concerns. We both felt well taken care of throughout the process.

12 months agoI've been a customer of Property Tax Lock for 3 years. They have successfully negotiated and protested my taxes each year. I recently had a shortage in my escrow account, and reached out to this team to assist in pulling historical data for me. Chris O'Day was extremely quick to respond, professional, and organized in answering all of my questions. Do yourself a favor, and use this company to negotiate your taxes on your behalf.
Lastly, I will say that I used to be a licensed real estate agent and tried to protest my taxes myself. I was quickly humbled, when I realized how complex these situations can be. I now trust Property Tax Lock to do this for me, and you should too!

2 years agoYear after year, I receive solicitations promising to lower my property taxes. Last year I thought I would give Property Tax Lock a try. They lowered my taxable valuation more than I ever thought possible given the never ending appraisal increases the past several years. I turn 65 this year, so my hope was that Property Tax Lock could lower my valuation again as it will freeze a portion of my property taxes going forward. Property Tax Lock came through again. I couldn't be more pleased.

2 years agoWe just recently moved to TX and rec'd our 2024 Notice of Appraised Value statement. Since I'm new to TX, I researched property tax reduction companies and was overwhelmed with the amount of them out there. I saw Property Tax Lock in a Reddit post and decided to call them. Unfortunately, the owner does not work in Bexar Co and only serves Tarrant Co. However, he stayed on the phone w me for over 15mins to explain the process of protesting property taxes and gave me helpful advice and guidance on the entire process. Mind you, he does not do work in Bexar Co but still went out of his way to help me. Imagine how he'd work for a client in the county he does serve- Tarrant. Kudos to him for his courtesy and integrity.

2 years agoI am using Property Tax Lock for the third consecutive year to protest my taxes, but this year, I am using them to protest my taxes on two homes in Tarrant county. There are two primary reasons I continue to use PTL. The first reason is… Results! They got the appraised value of my home in Arlington reduced nearly $100,000 last year. The other reason I use them is because they are simply great people to work with. PTL is a group of family members (across multiple generations) that work together to reduce property taxes for homeowners across Tarrant county. When I talk to them, it's literally like talking to a friend. It just doesn't get any better than that. Everyone needs to protest their property taxes every year, so when you do it this year, I highly recommend Property Tax Lock.

2 years agoProperty Tax Lock is a decent company. The owner is very patient and doing his best for the interest of his clients. The protest process is complicated and can take some time. Therefore, please patiently wait and they will not let you down.

3 years agoThis is an amazing business that works well with their customers on a personal level. I have used them for several years and find the owner and his team to be extremely busy, but willing to take the time to answer your questions. I am very difficult and have many questions. James, the owner has always been available to me in that means the everything. I probably shouldn't say this but I even have his cell phone number in case I have questions. This guy is super awesome, as well as his team like I said before. I highly recommend if you're appealing your property taxes that you use this company. You will be happy you did. Kudos to James and his team at PROPERTY TAX LOCK!

4 years agoI have used Property Tax Lock for 3 years now and I have been very pleased with their advise, followup and their dedication to what they do. When I had no where to turn (or so I thought) and no knowledge nor expertise to effectively protest my taxes with Tarrant TAD on my own, I found them. And I'm so glad I did! I love the fact that they charge a flat rate and that they are experts at what they do. A typical homeowner usually can come nowhere near knowing how to effectively navigate a successful protest with the TAD as the Property Tax Lock people do. You can't go wrong by choosing Property Tax Lock to represent you. Property Tax Lock has convinced me by their representation that I should have been using their service years before I actually started!

5 years agoThis will be my 3rd year to use Property Tax Lock. I am extremely thrilled over the results they have achieved on my property taxes in Denton County. I fought on my own for a few years prior, presenting area comps I would receive from realtors, providing estimates & pics for big ticket, inside repairs needed in my home, etc. Each year the amount decreased to a mere $50 on my last attempt. After much research I came upon Property Tax Lock. They have access to comps and algorithms individuals don't have access to, they've had years of experience working in a tax assessor's office and in the property tax business, offering inside knowledge, so their results have been WAY better than my results ever were!! They charge a flat fee and offer discounts on top of that. Is much cheaper than all those companies who charge you a percentage of the reduction they get on your home. Unfortunately, there have been multiple issues with their website throughout the covid pandemic which has been a downer for them, but every phone conversation I have had these past 3 years have been very friendly and caring to achieve the best result they possibly can. I highly recommend giving them a try.

5 years agoI have used Property Tax Lock for 2 consecutive years now. This year Darryll went above and beyond to help me. I can't say enough good things about him. He took every single one of my calls. Answered every one of my questions. And let me tell you there was a lot of them. He's so knowledgeable and extremely gracious. He went to my hearing for me and got them to lower my Market Value which in turn will lower my tax bill. Don't wait hire them each year to fight TAD or your appraisal district!

6 years agoHi. I had a great conversation with a consultant. And he was well informative and helped me understand the property taxes. It is a very complicated thing. But the consultant made it very simple for me to understand. If you are seeking information or an opportunity to work out property taxes, I recommend speaking with a consultant from this company. I spoke with Mr. Daryll. He is great. Thank you sir for the consultation. I will be looking forward to another consultation in the future. 2 thumbs up for excellent service. 👍👍

7 years agoThis was our first time to contest our property taxes and I'm very glad we left it to the experts. Customer service was excellent and they communicated with us throughout the whole process. They were able to get our value down significantly and we are very pleased. Definitely recommend Property Tax Lock and will use them again next year!

7 years agoProperty Tax Lock provided an excellent experience. Darrell and his team helped me lower my property tax assessment with the Denton County Appraisal District. I'm now the lowest in my district for this particular type of building structure. I repeat. The lowest. He provided value, communication, and expertise. Highly recommended!

7 years agoDarryl and everyone at Property Tax Lock are the highest caliber professionals in their field. My wife initially came across Propery Tax Lock on one of her HEB mommy online groups, they were all giving high praise as well. I was initially thinking of trying to dispute it myself but after speaking with Darryl and checking out their website and the different tools they have to optimize the reductions for the consumer it was a no brainer. They saved our family 38k!! Thank you for your help PTL.

7 years agoI live on Eagle Mt Lake and property values are both high and low for the long and narrow \"bowling alley\" lots. For years my property was being overvalued and all attempts to get a fair market value failed. I was assessed this year for 692,000, a huge increase from last year with no additional improvements. I didn't know the assessment board had rules, nor what they were. Or how they play them against the property owner. Now I do. Thanks to Property Tax Lock my property is much closer to the fair market value of 540,000. They reduced the inflated value by 152,000. This isn't just a home run, its a grand slam.

7 years agoI am over the moon for the awesome results Property Tax Lock has achieved for my family over the last 2 years. In 2018 they achieved a reduction in our property tax value of $11K and this year they had my property tax assessment value reduced by $29K!! These savings affect our monthly mortgage payments and the savings are a blessing. The process of becoming their client and having them represent you is so simple and they are great communicators relative to the appeal process. Their fees are so crazy reasonable and we have made up that cost numerous times by what we save on our mortgage payments. I would suggest letting them represent you as we have numerous times to our neighbors. They know the process and how to operate in the county's workflow. 8 years agoSo far, I have not heard anything about the lowering of our taxes on the house. They put online that it was a \"good\" chance for a reduction, yet the taxes stayed the same. The taxes jumped up about 50K in three years so this would seem like a good opportunity.
However, not everything is as it seems. Never received a mailing or phone call about our property and now we are being told that there is an unofficial settling for the same amount we paid last year. While this may be a \"win\" I do not know whether it is.
Communication seems to be lacking and it is unknown why this may be so. I have reached out to them via phone and have not heard back from them as of yet.
Will update as/if communication gets better.

So it turns out that the county has been raising the prices everywhere and they attempted on our house as well, but Property Tax Lock was able to put a stop to it and keep it at the level from the previous year since we challenged it again this year. However, many other people who have different houses are not protesting and therefore likely next year it will up everyone's tax prices unless more people don't lay around and take it. My advice would be to protest as much as possible, that way the county has a hard time to raise the prices - the more that do it the less we all have to pay in taxes.
I appreciate the call back and explanation of the company who spent 30 minutes on the phone with me and helping me to understand the situation.
